============ FITS files ============ We provide principal component (PC) files for 9 cases: epsilon_dec_WMAP7_PCs.fits epsilon_dec_Planck_PCs.fits epsilon_dec_CVL_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_log_WMAP7_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_log_Planck_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_log_CVL_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_WMAP7_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_Planck_PCs.fits epsilon_ann_CVL_PCs.fits These files provide PCs for annihilation (linear bins), annihilation (log bins) or decay (log bins) for the WMAP7, Planck, and CVL cases, respectively. (CVL = cosmic variance limited to L=2501). Each FITS file has the following format: L Array[2500] - multipole index (2..2501) REDSHIFT Array[50] - redshift (z) PC_EIGENVECTORS Array[50, 10] - PC as a function of redshift EPSILON 2.0000000e-27 - energy injection prefactor for all PCs [cm^3/s/GeV], see Sec III of paper EIGENVALUES Array[10] - PC eigenvalues PC_POWSPEC Array[2500, 3, 10] - mapping of PCs into power spectrum space, TT, EE, TE, with normalization set by epsilon PC_POWSPEC_PERP Array[2500, 3, 10] - same, but projected onto the space perpendicular to the cosmological parameters Here "power spectrum" is the usual L(L+1)/2pi * CL The annihilation files have 50 redshift bins, 80 < z < 1300. Because of the importance of decay at low redshift, the decay files contain 90 bins spanning 10 < z < 1258. The "Universal" WIMP annihilation curve is in epsilon_WIMP.fits which contains REDSHIFT Array[5991] L Array[2500] EWIMP_Z Array[5991] - eWIMP curve as a function of redshift EPSILON 2.0000000e-27 - energy injection prefactor [cm^3/s/GeV] EWIMP_POWSPEC Array[2500, 3] - eWIMP curve mapped into power spectrum space, TT, EE, TE, with normalization set by epsilon Effective 'f' efficiency coefficients for the 41 WIMP models (DM masses and final states) considered in Slatyer, Padmanabhan & Finkbeiner (0906.1197) are given in effective_f_WIMP.fits which contains 41 records of the form: CHANNEL 'electrons ' - annihilation final state. See below and 0906.1197 for details. MASS_GEV 1.0000000 - DM mass [GeV] EFFECTIVE_F 0.87330909 - the efficiency factor 'f' describing the normalization of the universal eWIMP curve corresponding to this model (see current paper and 0906.1197 for details). Annihilation final states: Leptonic: 'electrons' = e+ + e- 'muons' = mu+ + mu- 'tau' = tau+ + tau- Hadronic: 'b' = b + bbar 'lightquarks' = 50% u + ubar, 50% d + dbar 'pions' = pi+ + pi- Gauge bosons: 'Z' = ZZ 'W' = W+ + W- Higgs: 'higgs' = h hbar The 'XDM' prefix indicates annihilation through an intermediate light state, which then decays to SM leptons (leading to a 4-lepton final state). The detailed energy deposition curves corresponding to these models are available upon request from Tracy Slatyer or Doug Finkbeiner. ============= ASCII files ============= We also provide the data above in ASCII files, one per principal component. File names are e.g. epsilon_ann_CVL_PC01.dat epsilon_ann_CVL_PC01_perp.dat epsilon_dec_CVL_PC01.dat epsilon_dec_CVL_PC01_perp.dat etc. for each PC and {CVL, Planck, WMAP} The format of each file is L PC_TT PC_EE PC_TE ---- ------------------- ------------------- ------------------- 2 -0.0274672980125 3.97038795790e-05 0.00193103241982 3 -0.0274160328695 0.000104270353070 0.00455497315336 4 -0.0339191889149 0.000179336260067 0.00770327101412 Also, files containing the eigenvectors and eigenvalues for each case are provided, e.g. epsilon_ann_CVL_PC_eigenvalues.dat epsilon_ann_CVL_PC_eigenvectors.dat Finally, the contents of the epsilon_WIMP.fits file are in epsilon_WIMP_powspec.dat epsilon_WIMP_redshift.dat and the contents of effective_f.fits may be found in effective_f.dat ============== DOWNLOADS ============== Files may be downloaded individually by clicking links on this web site. To download everything on a UNIX system, you can type wget -r -nH -np -l2 --reject "index.html*" http://nebel.rc.fas.harvard.edu/epsilon/data If you do not have access to wget or something equivalent, please ask us for help.
